Gardens International, Mixed Use Development

The project included the completion of a partially constructed 7,765m² six storey over basement shell and core office building, the demolition of 19 Henry St and the construction of a 1,900m² five storey shell and core office building, as well as the refurbishment of 680m² of the existing Mercantile, GPO and Hanging Gardens Buildings.

 

AAMHU Galway  Bam Construction

Works consisted of of a two storey 50 Bed AAMH Unit  The new AAMU Unit provides accommodation for patients with a mental illness requiring mental health assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.

Human Biology Building Bam Construction

The Human Biology Building at the National University of Ireland, Galway, is the new home for the School of Medicine, providing teaching and research facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.  The facility includes state of the art Human Biology Research Centre including a research and teaching mortuary facility. The entire basement houses an animal holding facility including accommodation, surgeries and research laboratories.  There are 3 floors of high end research laboratories.

Ennis CBS National School

This project consisted of a new 4,530m2 school building comprising of 1 and 2 storey, 24 classroom primary school including a 2 classroom special needs unit.

Gaelscoil Liatrioma

Works comprised of the construction of a 2 storey primary school building with 12 classrooms, general purpose hall, support teaching spaces, and ancillary accommodation.

Gaelscoil an Choillin and Saplings, Mullingar Primary Schools

This project consisted of 2 new Primary School buildings with a total combined floor area of 3150 m²

Gaelscoil and Choillin consists of a new 3 storey 1,768m², 8 classroom primary school. 

The second school – Saplings, consists of a new 2 storey 1,934m², 6 classroom special needs school.

 

Goldcrest Village, NUI Galway, Student Accommodation

This state-of-the-art 429-bed student residence was constructed to the north of the NUI Galway city centre campus, adjacent the Lifecourse Science Building and the Science Research Building. This student accommodation is bound by the residential homes along Newcastle Road as well as the the existing Corrib Village student accommodation.

NEW FIRE STATION TUAM CO GALWAY

Carey Developments

This project involved the construction of a new 2 storey Fire Station on a greenfield  site with all associated site works.  It involved the construction of a Four Appliance Bay Building with ancillary accommodation and training facilities    It is situated along the N17 Milltown to Galway road outside the town of Tuam.

Westwood Student Accommodation, Galway

Main Contractors: BAM Contractors Limited 

Redevelopment of the Westwood Road Hotel and site to provide a new c.400 bed student accommodation facility. The new facility will be constructed over 5 separate blocks varying in height from 3 to 5 storeys. When complete, the accommodation will include  23no. 4-bed apartments, 2no. 5/6-bed apartments, 38no. 7/8-bed cluster units.

Gateway Retail Park, Knocknacarra, Phase Two

Phase 2 at Gateway Retail Park Knocknacarra comprised of the construction of a 2 storey mixed use development including retail units, a creche, a café/restaurant, gym and offices. The development is 15,000m² and the main building comprises of 10 units to include a 60,000 sq.ft Harvey Norman Store, Boots, JD Sports and a creche. Works also included a 440m² extension to the existing Dunnes Stores Building, 22 surface car parking spaces and a 129 space basement. There will be a 4,000m² food and beverage outlet which will be constructed in the coming months.
